About this website 6 questions
What does BritCrown.Hub actually do?

We review UK-licensed casino brands and publish the reasoning behind every score. Each review is based on a real, verified account that our team funds and uses over several weeks. We log withdrawal timings, read bonus terms in full, contact support with questions we already know the answers to, and check the operator against the UK Gambling Commission public register. Then we publish what we found, including the parts that are unflattering.

Who writes the reviews?

A small London-based editorial team. Reviews are written by the person who ran the test and are checked by a second reader before publication. Every review carries the date it was published and the length of the testing window, so you can judge how current it is.

Are you part of a casino operator?

No. BritCrown.Hub is independent of every brand we review. We do not operate a casino, we do not accept deposits, and we never take a wager. We are a publisher.

How do you make money?

Some outbound links to operators are commercial affiliate links, which means we may receive a fee if you open an account after clicking. That fee is paid by the operator and never by you. It does not change your terms and it does not buy a score. Our full commercial arrangement is written out on the Disclosure page, including what an operator can and cannot influence.

Can an operator pay for a better score?

No, and we have declined the request. Scores come from a fixed scoring model applied to what we measured. An operator can ask us to correct a factual error, and we will if they are right. They cannot buy a rating, a ranking position, or the removal of a criticism.

When was BritCrown.Hub established?

BritCrown.Hub was established in 2026. Our office is at 2nd Floor, 84 Curtain Road, London, EC2A 3BE, United Kingdom.

Licensing and safety 5 questions
How do I check a casino is legally licensed in the UK?

Search the operator on the UK Gambling Commission public register. Every brand legally accepting customers in Great Britain appears there under the company that holds the licence, with a licence number and a status. We link the register entry directly from every review so you can check ours rather than take our word for it. If a brand is not on the register, it is not licensed to accept you.

What is a white label casino brand?

A white label brand runs on someone else's UK licence. The licence holder is the regulated company that carries legal responsibility for your account, your funds and your complaints. The brand is the customer-facing name on top. It is legal and common. The practical consequence is that if you ever need to escalate a dispute, you escalate against the licence holder, not the brand name on the header. We state the structure explicitly in every review.

Which of your reviewed brands is a white label?

Booming Casino operates as a white label under ProgressPlay Limited, UKGC account number 39335. Midnite is operated directly by Dribble Media Limited under its own licence, account number 42647. Both are legitimate arrangements, and both are linked to their register entries in the reviews.

Are my funds protected if an operator fails?

UK licensees must hold customer funds separately from operating money and must publish a customer funds protection rating of low, medium or high. That rating tells you how your balance would be treated if the company became insolvent. It is disclosed in the operator's own terms and it is worth reading before you deposit a large amount.

Can I use a credit card to deposit?

No. Using a credit card for gambling has been prohibited across Great Britain since April 2020. This is law, not an operator preference. Any brand offering you a credit card deposit is not complying with UK rules and should be treated with real suspicion.

Staying in control 5 questions
What is GamStop and how does it work?

GamStop is the free national self-exclusion scheme for Great Britain. You register once, choose a period of six months, one year or five years, and every operator licensed by the UK Gambling Commission for remote gambling is required to block you for that period. It cannot be cancelled early. Registration takes a few minutes at gamstop.co.uk.

What is the difference between a time-out and self-exclusion?

A time-out is a short cooling-off period, typically 24 hours to six weeks, applied at one operator. Self-exclusion is longer, usually a minimum of six months, and GamStop applies it across every UK-licensed operator at once. If you are not sure which you need, the safer choice is the longer one. You can always come back later; you cannot undo a session you regret.

What deposit limits should I set?

An amount you would be content to lose entirely and never see again, set before you deposit rather than during a session. Every UK licensee must offer deposit limits and must apply a decrease immediately, while an increase has to wait. Set the limit while you are calm, because the whole point of the tool is that it binds the version of you who is not.

Where can I get free, confidential help right now?

The National Gambling Helpline is free on 0808 8020 133 and open 24 hours a day. BeGambleAware provides advice and routes into free treatment. Gamblers Anonymous runs peer fellowship meetings across the UK, in person and online. Links to all three are in our footer on every page and on our Responsible Gaming page.

Can someone under 18 open an account?

No. Gambling in Great Britain is restricted to adults aged 18 and over, and licensed operators must verify age before accepting a deposit. Our content is intended for adults only. If you share a device with someone under 18, filtering software such as Net Nanny or Qustodio can block gambling content at the device level.

Our reviews 4 questions
How is your score calculated?

Six weighted criteria: withdrawal speed, safer gambling tools, terms transparency, support quality, interface and navigation, and library breadth. Each is scored out of ten from evidence we gathered ourselves, then combined into the headline verdict. Every criterion score is shown on the review with a one-line note explaining it, so you can disagree with our weighting and still use our data.

How often are reviews updated?

We re-test each brand at least twice a year, and sooner if something material changes such as a licence status change, an ownership change or a shift in payout behaviour. The publication date and testing window are printed at the top of every review.

Why do you review so few brands?

Because a real test takes weeks. We would rather publish two reviews we can defend line by line than two hundred rewritten press releases. The list grows slowly and deliberately.

I think one of your reviews is wrong. What now?

Tell us. Email editorial@britcrownhub.co.uk with the page and the specific claim you are disputing. If you are right we correct the page and add a dated correction note at the bottom rather than quietly editing it. Corrections from operators and from readers are treated identically.
